Cybersecurity specialist support

Add specialist capacity against a defined piece of work.

Yojo helps define the assignment, access, reporting line, oversight, and handover before a specialist joins the team. Contracting and vetting terms remain subject to written agreement.

Define a specialist support requirement

This work becomes relevant when the route is unclear.

  1. A delivery commitment needs temporary capacity

The internal team has a defined security task but cannot complete it within the required working window.

  2. A specialist skill is needed for a bounded assignment

The organisation can name the work, owner, systems, access, and completion conditions but lacks the required experience internally.

  3. Continuity matters after the assignment

The work must leave decisions, operating knowledge, and handover material with the internal team rather than one individual.

Questions the engagement must resolve.

  1. What work must the specialist complete or support?

  2. Who owns delivery and which decisions remain with the client?

  3. What access, working arrangement, reporting, and oversight are required?

  4. What must be documented or transferred before the assignment ends?

How the workstreams connect.

The engagement boundary determines how far each stream goes. The sequence is adjusted to the agreed question, access, and operating constraints.

  1. Assignment definition

Describe the work, required experience, systems, responsibilities, working arrangement, owner, and completion conditions.

  2. Specialist alignment

Assess relevant experience against the assignment and identify any limits that must be resolved before placement.

  3. Access and oversight

Agree onboarding, reporting, client supervision, access approval, escalation, performance review, and information handling.

  4. Continuity and handover

Define the records, operating knowledge, open decisions, and transition activities expected before the assignment closes.

System viewSpecialist capacity connects a defined need to handover. The workstreams are Assignment definition, Specialist alignment, Access and oversight, Continuity and handover.

Expected outputs, qualified before delivery.

These are proposed artefacts. Their format, audience, evidence threshold, and ownership are agreed within the engagement boundary.

Assignment brief
The work, required experience, duration, working arrangement, and completion conditions to agree before a specialist is proposed.
Responsibility matrix
A proposed allocation of client ownership, specialist duties, approvals, oversight, and escalation contacts.
Access and onboarding plan
Client-approved access, equipment, policy, security, and induction steps to complete before work begins.
Handover plan
Documents, decisions, operating knowledge, recipients, and acceptance steps to agree for the end of the assignment.

A useful boundary is explicit on both sides.

What the client provides

  • Name the delivery owner and provide timely direction, decisions, supervision, and feedback.
  • Provide approved access, equipment, internal policies, safe working arrangements, and required induction.
  • Confirm which duties remain with employees, suppliers, regulated roles, or other client-appointed parties.
  • Review delivered work and complete the agreed handover and access-removal steps.

What the service does not claim

  • Availability of a suitable specialist is not guaranteed until the assignment and commercial terms are confirmed.
  • Contracting model, vetting, confidentiality, intellectual property, substitution, location, and notice terms are agreed for each assignment.
  • The client retains management authority and accountability for its systems, decisions, and regulated obligations.
  • An assignment does not imply continuous monitoring, urgent incident availability, or authority beyond the written brief.

A concise operating sequence.

Each point is a decision gate. Work moves forward when the required people, evidence, and authority are in place.

  1. Define

Agree the work, owner, required experience, working arrangement, and completion conditions.

  2. Integrate

Complete client-approved onboarding, access, reporting, and oversight arrangements.

  3. Transfer

Review delivered work, open decisions, documentation, access removal, and handover acceptance.
